How can you sell your regalia for so little compared to other suppliers? Are they actually good quality?

Our business structure is much more streamlined than most of our competitors'. We don't pay store rent or employ a large staff. As a result, students have so far ended up paying too much for their graduation attire. And yes, our quality is the same and in many cases better than what you would get from other suppliers.

What if my robes don't arrive?

We post all our garments from our warehouse in Swindon using Royal Mail. In the very unlikely event that your order is delayed, we will know about it, and we will be more than happy to compensate you and look to solve the problem. The post in the UK is very efficient and prompt, and we have not had a single misplaced delivery so far.

What if I cannot find the hood for my degree?

We currently only supplying hoods to certain faculties so we may not yet have your specific hood in stock. We are, however, constantly broadening our range so you might like to check back a bit later. It is, of course, possible to save money by buying our gowns and mortarboards, and renting the hood from another supplier. This way you can still save money and you get a fantastic memento which you get to keep forever.

What if my robes don't fit properly?

As long as you follow our sizing guide, you will have no trouble with fittings. These are academic robes and therefore are inherently loose fitting.

What is your returns policy?

Unfortunately, we have had issues with some customers purchasing, using and then returning their gowns after graduation. As a result, we are unable to provide future customers with refunds except in instances where items are found to be defective. In this case, claims must be made within seven days of delivery. However, we are more than happy to provide exchanges, less return shipping costs.

What payment methods do you accept?

We use PayPal to facilitate our payments as this is the fastest and most secure service. PayPal accepts all major credit cards.

How long will it take for my items to arrive?

We only use Royal Mail to dispatch our items. Orders placed before 12pm will be shipped the same day while orders placed after that time may be posted the following day. We provide two shipping options. Regular postage usually takes between 3-5 business days, and Express postage arrives in 1-2 days.

Do your gowns and mortarboards match those rented out by my university?

Yes, our gowns and mortarboards are authentic university regalia, conforming to the official style as used by the universities in the UK. However, there are a few small exceptions, so it doesn't hurt to double check.

Can I change or add to my order once it is placed?

If you wish to make any changes to your order, please email us promptly at [email protected] Once the order is shipped we cannot offer refunds for incorrect orders.

How does rental differ from purchasing?

Once you have selected the correct gown for your university, you can choose to either rent or purchase it. After the ceremony, you then have a further two days before we ask that you post it back to us in its pre-paid packaging. If however, you wish to keep your items, then simply keep them and we’ll deduct the difference between the rental and retail price.

How should I treat my items once I receive them?

Gowns and mortarboards come flatly packaged. We recommend that you hang your gown once you receive it so that the creases have time to drop out on their own. Gowns can also be ironed at low heat or steamed to remove any remaining creases. Similarly, the mortarboards and hoods should be unpacked once received to remove any creases.

Do you offer PHD regalia?

At the moment we are not stocking PhD garments. We are however constantly expanding our range so please stay tuned to our website and Facebook page where we post the latest news.
