About Us

What We Do

Churchill Gowns is a supplier of high-quality graduation services to university students throughout the UK. We provide services that are more flexible and affordable than those of traditional suppliers, while maintaining focus on our core beliefs: ethical manufacturing, environmental sustainability and social responsibility.

We work in collaboration with universities and academic dress experts to make sure that all of our university-specific items match the university regulations and are indistinguishable from other suppliers, ensuring everyone looks the same on their big day. We are able to keep our costs low without compromising on quality, by basing our business entirely online and operating a convenient home delivery service. These cost savings are passed directly on to our customers.

Finally, all of our graduation gowns are made entirely from recycled plastic waste and we donate 10% of our profits to environmental and educational charities, so when you choose to graduate with Churchill you can be confident that you are making the most cost effective and ethical choice.

Who We've Worked With

The Burgon Society

The Burgon Society is a charity which was founded in 2000 to promote the research and education of academic dress. Members and Fellows of the society bring a broad range of knowledge and expertise to the subject, and maintain an active interest in contemporary designs, developments and practices associated with academic dress.

As corporate members of the Burgon Society Churchill Gowns enjoy regular access to studies and communications about academic dress. We also attend various events throughout the year hosted by the society. This enables us to constantly develop our own knowledge about the history, traditions and provenance of academic dress. Having access on occasion to the Burgon Society’s significant collection of gowns, hoods and caps, also provides us with opportunities to examine different designs and rare examples of academic dress.
